By-LawsSan Francisco University High SchoolAlumni Association IPurpose of the OrganizationThe
purpose of the Alumni Association is to support the School and its
goals, and to further Alumni participation in the life of the School. IIPurpose of the By-LawsThe
purpose of the By-Laws is to state the purpose of the Association, and
to create an effective organization to carry out that purpose. IIIAAll
graduates of the School are automatically members of the Alumni
Association. Former students who left the School in good standing, but
who did not graduate, are also eligible for membership. BThe governing body of the Association shall be the Alumni Council. CThe
Alumni Council shall consist of all Past Presidents of the Association,
and two Alumni from each graduated class. Their election shall be held
at the Annual Reunion or such other time as appropriate. The twelfth
grade class shall select its representatives prior to graduation. DThe
Alumni Council shall elect an Alumni President and such other officers
as the Council deems appropriate. Said election shall be held in the
spring, or other time as need arises. EThe Alumni President shall represent the Association in all matters with the advice and consent of the Council. FThe Alumni President shall have the power to appoint class representatives for any class not then represented. GSubject
to the Bylaws of San Francisco University High School and the approval
of the Board of Trustees of San Francisco University High School, the
Alumni President shall serve as a member of the Board of Trustees of
San Francisco University High School for the length of his or her term
as president of the Alumni Association. Should the Alumni Council elect
Co-Presidents, the Alumni Council shall nominate one of its Presidents
to serve as a member of the Board of Trustees. IVConduct of Alumni Council Members and OfficersThe Council members and officers shall at all times seek the best interest of the Association and the School. The
Alumni Council may, by majority vote, remove any member or officer when
the interest of the Association so requires such action. VThese
By-Laws may be amended by a majority vote of those attending a duly
noticed meeting of the Alumni Council provided that the notice of the
meeting includes the requisite information. |
